Steam Whistle brews their much loved beer at the historic Roundhouse, near the base of the CN Tower. What was once the Canadian Pacific Rail company’s steam locomotive repair facility, is now a place where friends and beer lovers can gather to enjoy a frosty pint. They use pure and natural ingredients, authentic brewing techniques, and renewable energy to make their great brews and always have smiling faces waiting to greet you.
Customer Review: Just went back to Steam Whistle for patio season and they didn’t disappoint! Very organized and caring about people’s safety. Lovely patio, the beer is fantastic, and the staff is super friendly.
If you’re looking for quality beer in West Toronto, look no further. Known for their lagers but always keen to experiment with some haze, you won’t be disappointed by the quality brews pumped out of Junction Craft Brewing.
In 2019 they partnered with Caribru Cares to help raise money for local charities where they donate 5% of all earnings. Good beer for a good cause, how could you not love these guys?
Customer Review: I like their Conductor’s ale. I like it even more when it’s freshly poured and served on their patio. I cycle there, but there’s a huge parking lot and many picnic tables. Highly recommended!
Located on the busy Ossington Avenue strip, Bellwoods Brewery has many award winning brews, focusing on aromatic hoppy stuff and crisp lagers. They often experiment with barrel aged wild blends, fruit-forward zingers, and the occasional barrel aged stout. Stop in for lunch or dinner at the brew pub, or grab their delicious brews to-go at the bottle shop next door!
Customer Review: I love this place to the point of sounding paid. The beer is quality and the food is so tasty. I highly recommend the sourdough bread with butter (can’t speak for the pumpkin seed oil option). Our server was really friendly and super helpful. Just beware the waitlist that is almost guaranteed and plan accordingly. But really, go! Your taste buds will thank you.
Proud collaborators with Canadian Rock Band, Rush, Henderson Brewing is one of the fastest growing breweries in Toronto. Take a stroll along the West Toronto Rail path and stop in this industrial style brewery right next to the Museum of Contemporary Art for a cool beer.
Henderson beers are an ode to the city and culture they grew up in and you’ll always find something new and exciting in their taproom and bottle shop. They’ve pumped out nearly 100 seasonal brews and there’s no telling what they’ll come up with next!
Customer Review: Always a great choice when picking a brewery to hangout at, they have lots of space, right beside a bike trail, and have a great selection of beers and also sell Popsicles. There’s also a sausage stand right beside some days and they’re delicious!
Rorschach (pronounced ROAR-shack) Brewing was named after the Rorschach Personality Test and the idea that while beer has definitive flavours and aromas, the taste is subjective and individual to the one tasting them. With what may be the largest house-made beer list in Toronto, your taste buds are sure to go on a joy ride at this brewery. Have a cold one on their tree-lined patio after a day at the beach, or grab a few for pick up or delivery.
Plus, they offer free Toronto-wide delivery on orders placed before noon!
Customer Review: Hand’s down favourite Brewery in Toronto. The selection of beers they have is second to none and the venue itself is awesome, great outdoor roof patio 2 mins away from Woodbine beach. Pick up their flagship beer Truth Serum. You will not be disappointed.
Indie Ale house is a brewhouse, bottle shop, and restaurant located in the West end of Toronto in the Junction. They’re on a mission to “Live Indie” with lively events, a carefully curated house-made menu, and encouragement to explore innovative creations that don’t fit into the mainstream beer scene. Expect big, bold and flavourful ales and fresh, high quality dishes to match.
Customer Review: Amazing beer selection and the fries were incredible! They have all types of beers and would definitely recommend getting a flight to try a few!
If you’re a baseball fan, you can’t pass up the opportunity to take a visit down to Left Field Brewing. Their range of beers on tap offers something for everybody and as an added bonus, they even have their own brewery hound, Wrigley!
Customer Review: Not many breweries can compare with the quality, or innovation found at Left Field. From Eephus, which is extraordinary to the always sought after summer extraordinary, Lo Viste (Mojito Sour) Left Field hits it out of the park (could not help it) every time. Highly, highly recommended!!
Kensington Brewing recently overhauled their packaging design and opened a second brewery. While much is changing, one thing remains the same, their beer is damn good! They don’t play around with any wild poetic beer names, in fact, most are straight to the point like their “Normal Beer” Pilsner and their “It’s a Stout” stout! What you see is what you get at Kensington and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Customer Review: Lovely place and great people. The beer is amazing with lots of variety and unusual flavours. Inside is just as nice as outside, you sit directly next to the vats where the beer is brewed. A very comfy and welcoming place. Kensington is well worth a visit and this is the perfect place to stop for a break.
Co-founders and actual “blood brothers” Dustin and Brayden Jones are known for releasing “outside of the box” brews to create an adventurous beer drinker’s haven. Located on the popular Geary Avenue, they’re especially known for experimental sour beers and wine-infused brews. Give your tastebuds a treat and try something you’ve never had before at Blood Brothers Brewing.
Customer Review: This is a great place for any craft beer lover. Paradise Lost – Guava is a must.
This family run, independent craft brewery and brewpub has an interesting origin story beginning in Nova Scotia in 1985. The brewmaster title has been passed down generations keeping the same quality standards and always experimenting with new yeasts and brew styles.
Customer Review: Great beers and amazing pub-inspired food. I love that there all always interesting rotating seasonal beers and a weekly food menu on top of their regular menu. I haven’t found a better local pub with such a wide variety of good homemade beers and doubt I will.
Halo Brewery came to life by a former software engineer who loves to mix unexpected ingredients and create magic with numbers and science. On their website you can find the full recipes and brewing process of their delicious experimental brews, which is sure to give you a newfound appreciation for the brewmasters behind the scenes.

Located amongst the shops on Queen Street East, this brewery fits right in. Its cozy design is inspired by the great pubs of Europe and encourages you to get comfy and enjoy the variety of styles offered by Radical Road.
Customer Review: Great bar, great staff and great food. Tried the flight and the selection was solid. The yuzu beer is definitely one to try and something you can’t find at many other bars.
Almost disguised as a typical bungalow, this award winning small batch brewery offers a rustic vibe with an unbeatable beer garden to enjoy the short Toronto summer. Their “less is more” approach to their beer will have you feeling right at home. So sit back, grab a pint, and stay awhile!
Customer Review: Consistently great beers with a lot of rotating seasonal options served fresh by great staff in a very welcoming, friendly and inclusive setting. Also a great patio for the warmer days and many superb food pop up options on weekends.
Avling is just a few years old and already making a splash in the craft beer scene. The industrial feel balanced by soft pastel colours is inviting and trendy, but wait until you hear what’s on the roof! Prioritizing regenerative production methods and sustainable approaches, Avling has a 4000 sq. ft farm on their roof top where they grow fruits and vegetables for their restaurant and even hops for their beers! The 99% symbol on many of their cans means that everything that went into that beer came from Ontario, talk about supporting local!
Customer Review: Such a gorgeous inside, I love the murals on the walls. The beer was some of the best we’ve had. We didn’t eat any food here, but it seemed from the menu that everything included an ingredient that they have grown themselves!
Dog lovers and beer lovers rejoice. Black Lab Brewing isn’t just branded with dogs, it welcomes our four-legged friends right into the brewery. Need we say more? So grab your pet and grab a pint and enjoy some quality time together at Black Lab Brewing.
Customer Review: Fun dog-friendly microbrewery that’s ideal for the summer. Nice place to have a few pints before the beach. Brews are original & well-varied.
The brewers at Godspeed Brewery are “obsessed” with brewing consistent and high-quality brews. With a Japanese influence running throughout many of the beers, you’re bound to be pleasantly surprised by what Godspeed Brewery has to offer on tap.
Customer Review: If you’re in Toronto and you are into craft beer, you have to try Godspeed. The beer is simply perfect. Insanely crushable with a robust flavour profile. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff to guide your selections. Lovely minimalist design at the bar. Can’t wait to go back and try their food!
This industrial setting brewery is a fast-growing favourite amongst Toronto breweries. Having quickly outgrown their first commercial space, Rainhard Brewing has cemented their future growth potential at their newest location in the Stockyards. Their selection is always on rotation so if you need a reason to make this a frequent stop on your brewery lists, you’ve got one!
Customer Review: A great local craft brewery that hosts live music and supports vegan pop-up food vendors. What’s not to love? A stone’s throw from Shacklands and the Junction Craft breweries as well.
Started by brew best friends, this microbrewery is casual, fun, and features, an ever-changing rotation of beers. Another brewery with a brag-worthy patio, Bandit Brewery is a Toronto summer essential stopover. Oh, and don’t forget to check out their beer-battered cheese curds. You won’t regret it.
Customer Review: Amazing covered patio, maybe the best one for a microbrewery in the city. All their beers, especially their Stouts and Porters are great.
Beer by the people for the people. Their slogan speaks to their dedication to continue bringing new and interesting beers to the table. People’s Pint Brewing is a place for the community to gather in a warm and welcoming environment to share their love for beer. Also offering fun Wednesday Workshops so you can do something fun and drink a beer while you do it!
Customer Review: Great tasting beer and very friendly staff. Love the industrial street / area they are in. Nice little patio out front. Their golden ale has recently become my favourite beer!
Dedicated to Belgian-Beer styles, this laidback brewery offers a great space to relax, listen to music, drink beer, and lose track of time. Even though they’re devoted to more traditional brews, this micro-brewery stands out in the crowd.
Customer Review: Best beer in the area and also one of the best food places in the neighbourhood.
This quirky brewery offers a funky design that gives an ode to any great neighbourhood watering hole. Specializing in Belgian-style brews, prepare to taste an array of classically created beers at Shacklands Brewing. Nothing fancy here, just great reliable pints.
Customer Review: Fantastic beers – mostly in the Belgian style. Friendly owner and just a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a tasty beer.
