The Hefe Weizen, Blonde Ale, and Tropical Lager are great crushable choices, but if you’re looking for more interesting beers, they’re always experimenting with new flavors and innovative recipes. Check out their warehouse taproom that features foosball, ping pong tables, and a rotating lineup of tasty food trucks!

Clandestine Brewing is a nano brewery just outside of downtown San Jose. They have some of the best flavored brews made with only the best and freshest ingredients in the area. Their beer menu features a wide selection of style variations from IPA, milk stout, and scotch ale, to sours and saisons. Being a small brewery though, their taps change frequently, so you’ll always have something new to try when you visit.

Customer Review: Excellent beers in cozy digs. Very versatile selection of beers, including kinds I can’t find elsewhere, and not a single one wasn’t amazing. Strongly recommend.

Hapa’s Brewing Company is fairly new to the craft brewery scene, though founder Brian and Derek have been experimenting with the craft for decades. After Brian took a leap of faith and left his job in Silicon Valley, the pieces fell into place allowing them to open up the brewery they’ve always dreamed of.

Hapa’s is a beautiful warehouse space just off downtown Willow Glen. They’ve got communal tables and games like shuffleboard, darts, and corn hole. On the weekends you’ll be treated to live music talent and some delicious food truck options. A family friendly space that we’re sure you’ll love!

Uproar Brewing Company in the eclectic SoFA District is inspired by unique regional ingredients that you’ll find in most of their beers brewed. The dog friendly tasting room has delicious beer, arcade games, and fun evening events like karaoke! Be sure to try the Sofa-King Good IPA and the beer battered fries, you won’t be disappointed!

Customer Review: Yummy beers and friendly staff. My husband loves Belgian style beers and they’ve got so many to try. The Sai San Jose beer was particularly delicious. Had a great chat with the bartender too!

After a 1,900-mile cycling trip along the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail in Spain, founders Nathan Poulous and Allen Korenstein made their dream of opening a their own brewery come true. This East Virginia neighborhood brewery just a few minutes from San Pedro Square Market has one single vision: to bring guests the best craft beer and beer drinking experience in the region.

You’ll find a wide array of styles and flavours at this taproom, and some pretty creative creations like beer slushees topped with whip cream! They’ve also partnered with local Chromatic Coffee to create the Cafe con Leche Coffee Milk Stout which is definitely a favorite beer!

Grab your friends and hit one of their many events like bingo, trivia, or comedy night. Whether it’s a Friday night, Saturday night, or ANY night, they’ve usually got something going on in this friendly and cool place.

Customer Review: Great beer!! The owners are very nice and friendly & they are usually on site socializing with people great atmosphere. Karaoke on Tuesdays, kick back environment.

Though Faultline Brewing Company is not technically in San Jose, it’s Sunnyvale location is definitely worth the trip. Their motto is “Great Beer, Great Food, and Great Service” and boy have they mastered all three. Their taproom is a more upscale environment, featuring a full menu and bar along with some pretty interesting cocktails. Their specialty “beer bombs” cocktails mix beer with liquor to create amazing flavours. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood!

Customer Review: Nice selection of beers on tap – with options at 5% and some at 7-8.5%. Good menu that fits well. Nice atmosphere and crowd were all lovely. Big screen and covered seating in the garden + heaters if you want to watch sport / eat / not freeze.
