Alright, let’s get to it, shall we? Here’s our list of the top Boulder Craft Breweries!

Avery Brewing Company

Avery Brewing Company
Avery Brewing Company

Avery Brewing Company in the Gunbarrel neighbourhood of north-east Boulder has a long history, rich in phenomenal craft beer. They have 30+ taps of award-winning beer, many sporting a gold medal or two. They seem to be known for their barrel-aged beers and their sours, and for good reason. Since 2003 they’ve been crafting ales and sours aged in barrels that used to house wine, Bourbon, whiskey, tequila, and more. The barrel-aged series are “one and done” type experiments, so you’ll never guess what they’re crafting next.

Customer Review: This was our favorite brewery in Boulder. All of the beers were solid – most of them have won awards and we could see why. Our favorite beer was their brown ale. They also have a self guided brewery tour which we thought was neat.

Not only are Upslope Brewing Company beers top-notch, but they’ve set the bar high in terms of environmental awareness and sustainability. They’ve partnered with Trout Unlimited to donate 1% of all Upslope Craft Lager can sales to conserve, protect and restore North America’s coldwater fisheries and watersheds. Pair that with a ton of sustainability initiatives, and you’ve got a brewery that you can feel really good about drinking at.
